I used Copilot to find the cheapest round trip from Tulsa to Philly. It pulled up Farehutz.us which allegedly sold me round trip tickets for $399 and I paid an additional fee for trip insurance. Once my credit card information was taken, they emailed me that all of the "promotional" had already been taken and that I would have to pay an additional $300 for a different seat. I asked them to cancel it due to my trip insurance which they refused to do. Long story short, I agreed to be scammed for the additional $300 making my trip $700 rather than the initial $399 when I could have bought directly from Southwest Airlines for $500. I was looking for great deals on flights this afternoon, and clicked on Trivago, which took me to farehutz.us. I booked a flight, and immediately got an email saying my flight was pending, and were waiting on the airline to accept the reservation. I've never had this happen before while booking flights. This sparked a search into the BBB and other complaints about this 'company'. I found them to be reported as scammers in nearly every report, and immediately turned my card off. About an hour later, I began to get voicemails from them, without the phone ringing at all, and they kept wanting to talk to me about the flight I requested that was no longer available and wanted to get me to take another flight at a higher price/upcharge me. I also received three emails in a row with the same information and request to call them. I refused to call them, and instead emailed the 'support' ( [email protected] ) and noticed right away that there were misspellings in the email headings, and called them out on their scam. I let them know I have contacted the BBB about them, and screenshot the review that matched what happened to me today and included it in the email. I told them to cancel the flight immediately and threatened to contact the police if they did not cancel it. Within seconds of sending this to the 'support', I received a cancellation notice from them. Not too long afterwards, I received a second notice of cancellation, worded differently, but the message was the same.
