FORAGEM JOB SCAM (Foragem.com) I haven’t seen anyone talk about this one, but I’m sure people will be searching here for info. So here’s everything that I know about it: 1. They request resumes via email 2. They invite you to a fake webinar, which I’m pretty sure is pre-recorded and the participants chatting are bots. The guy who hosted the webinar is someone that you can hire for not only webinar purposes, but also AI. It’s not clear whether he’s in on the scam or not, but they say he’s the “head of operations”. 3. They explain that when you’re working your only form of communication is “your manager” and you’ll always have access to talk to “your manager” aka: your only form of communication in this “company” is an AI chat bot. You’ll basically never talk to a real human being. What’s the goal? I don’t know, I didn’t make it that far. I knew it was a scam as soon as I was invited to the webinar, but decided to see how it would play out. The actual employee portal is well done, and it does look like it’s a task scam. Probably you invest time into it, and they expect you to pay to receive your funds. But there’s nothing else on the web about this, and it’s only been a registered LLC for a few weeks so there could be more nefarious things going on that I’m unaware of.
