The biggest entitlements program on the planet Let's call your Ivey & Private schools what they really are: The biggest entitlements programs on the planet A student's ROI (return on investment) has historically derived from the strength of its program’s alumni network (not in the quality of one's education). Most major corporations have quotas to predefined university programs to fill available roles. It's become the ultimate entitlement program and contributes largely to income inequality and poor leadership choices at major firms and organizations. Why should such entitlement programs receive wide private sector and political support while an entitlement program for food stamps designed to feed those who cannot afford this basic need is violently debated, scrutinized and subsequently cut by the U.S. House of Representatives by $4 billion dollars a year over 10 years? If you cut one, you must cut the other to balance the books. Fair is fair, right? A critic will rebut this view and say these students have studied extremely hard to position themselves for these opportunities but my response would be: many people who need food stamps have WORKED extremely hard, have contributed to society, and are at very least entitled to a good meal. You can't say that one program is abused more than the other. http://freedomtoexplore.org/blog/2013/9/23/how-video-sharing-steve-jobs-2005-commencement-speech-is-crucial-to-thinking-about-new-realities-in-the-world
