I made a purchase from an Instagram ad. The product title and description was "Limited Time – Upgraded 2025 Retractable Ratchet Strap (Perfect Gift for Men??) - BUY 2". I ordered it on December 18, 2025. The product was not delivered until January 12, 2026. When I received the package, it was from a random residential address in San Fransisco. The product received was not in any original packaging, only a zip lock bag. They were not at all what was shown on the website, or in the product description. They were regular, plain ratchet straps that cost about $4 retail. I was charged about $50. When I checked the website - fullbasketz.com - there is nothing there. No item pages, no real information. The contact phone number does not work. I reached out to the support email on the confirmation notice which was a totally separate company - BrightBuy. They told me this was the only item they stock and it was not "retractable", even though the advertisement and the product description stated as such. When I requested a refund, they initially offered me 10% back. When I responded that I wanted a full refund, they said "will buy you more time of waiting, potential delays and high freight shipping costs" and that I would have to ship back to their factory in Vietnam - at a cost of over $200 to ship. Their final offer was to refund 25% of the original cost. This seems to be a clear case of false advertising and a shell company to pass wrong or counterfeit goods as the real items marketed to consumers.
