Credit Card Number Was Stolen... what now? I've been trying to find a subreddit that might be able to give me some advice on this... On Monday I got a phone call from a web hosting company, asking me for details on what I was planning to do with the account I opened with them that morning. "... I have no idea what you're talking about." They gave me the last four digits of the card that the account was opened with, and I immediately called card services. After reading off a few recent charges, we came to the conclusion that my credit card number was stolen. The charges were for things like Blockbuster.com and Gamefly.com, obviously just to check if the information the thief had was legit. Thankfully the charges totaled about $20, and even so I am not obligated to pay for them. One of the charges really scared me because it was for a credit score tracking company, but I was able to confirm with them that the thief didn't use my social security number for anything. Opened a police report, but since all the charges were online, there obviously isn't much they can do. I'm mostly just bothered by the fact that whoever this was had the address to my PO Box and my cell phone number. Should I change these? Should I just move on and stop worrying about this since it's happened to tons of people lately? TL;DR My credit card number was stolen, wtf do I do now?
