My dad is being scammed by an investor scammer - how to make him see it? For some time now, probably about two years, my dad has made some substantial payments to Kentor Asset Management - http://www.kentor-management.com/ At first they were some initial investments, but after my dad has tried to cash in those investments, they have asked for some further payments to start the process, but not once has my dad seen any money returned to him. I don't really know much of the details, since my dad doesn't want to discuss the matter with me after I loudly criticized his decisions in the first place. I know that some other firm contacted him by phone initially and that the company looking after his investments turned into Kentor Asset Management later. This raises all "Cold Calling" flags for me, and it doesn't help that the company has been named in some investor alerts: http://www.globalinvestoralerts.org/public_html/kentor_asset_management.shtml and http://www.fi.se/Folder-EN/Startpage/Register/Investor-alerts/A-list-of-all-investor-alerts/?query=K It looks impossible that this could be anything but a scam, but my dad keeps believing that one day he'll get his money - and possibly pay even more to them in the progress. I think he has invested so much in this, that he doesn't want to believe the whole thing is a scam and thereby doesn't believe me when I warn him. Is there anything I could do to change his mind about this? Is there any further proof that Kentor Asset Management is just after his money that I could show him? I know (or hope) he hasn't invested his life savings into this and I'm almost 100% sure he's never going to see that money again, but I would just want him to snap out of this foolish belief and out of their influence...
