Are IT Professionals Exempt from Overtime in the US? Hi, There's a Bill that's getting a lot of attention in the IT community right now: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=s112-1747 The CPU Act would take away over time rights from hourly IT workers. I currently work as an hourly IT worker and I am not provided overtime pay. Should I be currently exempt from overtime rights, and if so, what is the purpose of this Bill/addition to the FLSA? Any input is appreciated!
