Have you been a victim of Guzu.com? Hey guys wanted to check to see if any fellow Redditors have ever been a victim of using the online electronics buy-back program Guzu?? I had an iPhone5 that sadly drowned in a lake so I decided to check out the website Usell. (the one with the commercial of that insanely peppy guy in the purple vest) I had used them before to send in an old iPod, which I received my money for with no problem so I decided to go back to them. Usell's platform is basically a website for you to enter the device and its condition and they'll match you with the top 5 or so offers around the web. I was drawn to the company Guzu because it had over 60 positive reviews and 4 1/2 stars (compared to companies with no stars & no reviews). Well long-story-short I sent in my phone and never received my money. Their website stated that I received my check even though I didn't. I tried emailing and calling but never got a response. Then I checked their Facebook page and noticed dozens of other people stating that Guzu mailed them BOUNCED CHECKS or never payed them at all. I still haven't received any callbacks, emails, my phone or my money.. Which I assume I never will see again :( But personally I am at the point of ~~enough~~. I am considering filing a class-action lawsuit against Guzu along with the dozens (or probably hundreds) of other victims to bring down this company so they can no longer scam anyone else. Just wanted to see how many other people this has happened to or if anyone else ever received a (real) payment or response.
