Applying persuasion science online is much harder than offline. It's even harder doing so in emails to strangers. Research is in short supply & so are examples. I'm writing a Masters thesis & I'd really like your help. As a guy with a keen interest of and no background in psychology & social engineering, I f*cking love this subreddit! I've bought a few books suggested here and learned so much in the last few months. I want to spark some discussion from you all, in the hope that I can write a spectacular Masters thesis. Some background. I'm 33[m], from Dublin, Ireland & I'm a internet marketer. I'm a reddit addict, Coffee & tea obsessed, Science Fiction (books & movies) fanboy & football (The soccer kind!) fanatic. I'm writing a Masters thesis which applies [Dr Robert Cialdini's](http://www.influenceatwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/E_Brand_principles.pdf) principles of persuasion to outreach emails which are sent to blogging influencers, asking them to do 'something', such as share an existing article on social media or write a new one for their audience. To do this, I'm creating a web graphic which has some really nice information about tea, this should appeal to the type of content they write about (food & travel). The graphic will be displayed on a webpage. I'll be creating 6 email templates. Each template will feature one persuasion principle only & each template will be sent to 50 influencers, asking them to share or write about the web page I've created.
