Impacted victim was seeking immigration legal assistance and found a Facebook page listed below. Immediately they were contacted via WhatsApp about their inquiry and the fake lawyers requested $1350 for a service fee, then a $350 later for completion. They requested that this payment be made over Zelle. The impacted victim got suspicious and asked for the bar number of the fake lawyer. The fake lawyer then provided a bar number of someone who has a different name, but the same last name as them and lives in a different state. It was then that they realized that this was a scam.
