Think a family member has been scammed, any advice would be great! Hi all, fist time poster on here but have been involved in the crypto markets for years so I know a fair bit about the processes etc, looking for some advice if possible! So a family member approached me today asking about crypto as he had a few questions and knows i do some investing. Turns out he's sent a small amount of money as an initial investment to investec.co 3 months ago and now they are saying he has 1.6 Bitcoin in an account that needs moving to a wallet. Of course I asked him to find out their secrets as I've been very efficient at turning every £1.00 I've invested into £0.10 so far! Anyway, they are trying to set him up a Binance account and are then requesting the tax to be paid before they transfer over the funds. Obviously he hasn't done this but he has sent a copy of his bank statements to them previously. I managed to be present when they called him and of course they weren't very happy when I stated that I want them to send it to a different cold store wallet and that only when it's received will tax be paid (of course none of that will happen). My issue is that he sent bank statements with his name and address on, is there much they can do with these details? Is there anything else he should be worried about? Any advice would be great, thanks I'm advance
