Fake Debt Collection Email from “January”? I know January is a legit company but is this someone spoofing as them? Because I definitely never had a Target credit card or a Walmart one…and I don’t have those accounts on my credit report. The emails came at the same time and I looked back and I have been getting a few since May 30th. Also one talking about an Affirm account which, again, I never opened. Why are all these debts from different companies being collected at the same time? What is a “Target Purchase Balance Balance”? They use my maiden name and not my married name as well. I have not received any actual paper mail from them. The links in the email appear to go to january.com though so that gives me pause. I lean towards scam but it makes me nervous to have all these potential collections as well…
