My daughter found a sale on Jellycat stuffed animals on Pinterest and really wanted to get some. It all felt rushed, but I goggled the website and thought it seemed legit even though it listed the UK as the shipping origin. We sat on the site for an hour picking out the cutest stuffies for Christmas presents. I received a couple of emails from them and in hindsight there are plenty of red flags. Had I seen them before purchasing I never would have bought anything but I didn't pick up on any red flags on the website. I received a confirmation email and this is where I noticed that hovering over the links in the email did not show as Jellycat.com and the have questions please reply to email address was [email protected] . Then after not receiving the stuffies after a couple weeks I went looking for the order status and the website no longer works. The immediately thought scam, so I looked at my credit card and the charge of $52 by NOCERAST was listed for this purchase. I goggle NOCERAST and here we are. They are a known fraud merchant. What to do So I got phished trying to order an item from jellycatusa.net thinking it was jellycat.com. I ended up putting in my card info and hitting order. I realized almost immediately because my bank blocked the transaction. I've locked my card and luckily i haven't gotten charged anything but is locking it enough for now? Should I still close my card in the my card in the morning now that they have my info?
