I got the contact via my local church saying a new member is trying to donate a Piano, when I was interested in purchasing a Piano for my daughter. The individual (Name Used: Karolina Howard ( [email protected] )) sent an email offering a "free" Yamaha Baby Grand Piano (GC1 model), claiming it belonged to her late husband. She requested that I pay for shipping costs through a specific moving company. Here is the detailed instructions given: "To begin the moving process, please email the moving company at [email protected] Mention that you were referred by Mrs. Karolina Howard and include the Reference Code: SEIL132PG so they can locate the correct details. For a quicker response, email is the preferred contact method. When reaching out, please include your delivery address so they can provide you with an accurate quote. Once you’ve scheduled the move, kindly let me know so I can authorize the piano’s transport. After the piano has been delivered, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share a few photos or a short video of it in its new home. It would mean a lot to me to see it being enjoyed. This has been identified as a recurring scam designed to steal moving fees via non-refundable payment apps. No goods were ever delivered." Ditch Taylor from jfmovingandstorage.com company initially asked for $580 for delivery fee to be sent via Apple Cash to Email: [email protected] Name: Jennifer Trimble, with a PDF invoice attached showing JF moving and Storage 1448 Portland [BBB Scam Type: Moving] [Business: Unknown] [Location: MA, USA - 02421]
