Help! Pretty sure my friend is getting scammed . Hello everyone! So my buddy has been investing money through an app/website claiming to be "jump crypto." They're getting paid daily interest provided in USDT while they lock up thousands in different "projects" for varying amounts of time. The interest rates are insane and the whole sign up bonus structure is something straight off the front page of Google for how to engineer a pyramid scheme. Classic sounds to good to be true so it probably is. Here's where the biggest red flags come in. He found out about this and it is all ran through a discord group that links to a website that the actual jumpcrypto.com website has absolutely zero mention of. The discord is full of the worst broken English fake accounts and obvious bots claiming "hundreds of k in return so fast! Ready for the wealth life?? Well we give wealth life to you!! Just invest as much as you can then get everyone you know to invest so you make the money off all their investments!!". Jump is worth billions of dollars I see no reason why they'd be using a discord server of all things to get people to invite their friends and family to dump money on a sketchy secret website. So far he hasn't had issues pulling out the daily interest paid to him onto another wallet but he hasn't pulled out the initial investments (amounts to more than what he's been paid so far in daily interest) as they're locked up in these "market making projects" for weeks to months at a time. Has anyone heard of this scam or know what's going on if it is somehow legit? What should he be looking out for and is the money he locked up for 6 months just gonna be gone? TLDR: Jump investings crypto branch jump crypto isn't using a discord server with a secret app you can't get in the app store and a website only the discord links to to get people to dump money into a pyramid scheme right?
