I clicked a link online that I thought was associated with UPS to locate a UPS package that was missing. I was sent to an automated system that you could type a question, and it would give an answer. It was unable to resolve my problem. The automated system then stated for a $5.00 refundable fee that I could get a live person to assist me over the phone. At this point I’m still thinking that I am in contact with someone connected to UPS. I thought it to be strange that there would be a charge, but everything is strange these days. I submitted my debit card number, and was then contacted by a live representative. They tried to help with my lost package, but in the end gave me a direct contact number to UPS. Support. During the conversation the representative sent me several emails with information about what we had discussed. After our conversation was finished , I looked at the different emails that he had sent, and to my surprise I was not only charged the $5.00 I agreed to pay. I was also charged a $40 a month reoccurring membership, that had not been discussed , or had I agreed to. It also said that you could log into your JustAnswers.com account and cancel the membership at anytime. I didn’t have a JustAnswers.com account, so I had to create one in order to cancel the membership. I did cancel, but they had already debited my bank account for the unauthorized $40 .
