Hacking Politeness: Foxtype is a Free email writing tool I use. Give it a sentence and it magically re-phrases that sentence in a more polite tone. I've been using it for work emails, and I feel like the results have been noticeable in my day-to-day interactions with co-workers and clients. When I'm emailing in a hurry I can seem terse and dismissive. 2. I can seem much friendlier by just adding a hedge to my sentences. e.g. "Send me the report." -> "Could you please send the report?" I think the researchers that made this are coming out with a Gmail extension. The extension would actively optimize your tone for politeness. Does anyone else know of anything like this? (e.g. Apps or sites dedicated to Social-Engineering concepts. )
