Female external catheter I just wanted to recommend this because it's been a blessing for us. My mother has suffered from incontinence and during the night she would get up after urinating, change out a pad she slept on, changed her underwear, then went back to bed. This could be 4 times a night. Sometimes she would fall and I'd need to assist her. Recently she went to the hospital and they recommend putting a Primafit on her. It was an external catheter for women. It's basically a sponge that soaks up urine in the crotch area and vacuums it to a plastic chamber. My mother was so happy with this device. It kept her dry at night. But PrimaFit is only available to hospitals. So I looked for an alternative and found Purewick. It's basically identical but it's available for people to buy it for home use. [https://www.liberatormedical.com/purewick/welcomeseo.php](https://www.liberatormedical.com/purewick/welcomeseo.php) It has been a god send. My mother sleeps through the night without any problems. We actually went to our doctor years ago asking for a catheter that was temporary so we could use it at night. This device is what we needed all along. You can collect the urine and even use it for a lab specimen. The vacuum aparatus is around $300. 30 day supply of the catheters is around $200. The catheters are a very durable material and we've found that washing and soaking in vinegar, you can use the "catheter" for many days. So a 30 day supply can extend for much, much longer. If you have an elderly woman that has incontinence issues, I would highly recommend.
