I purchased a software license for Microsoft Office Pro 2024 through Groupon from the “secondary” provider licensetom.com, and paid via PayPal. I was sent an “activation” code via my email which enabled me to download the purchased software. When I tried to install it on my Windows 11 PC, Norton Antivirus software deemed it a virus and would not install it without me “turning off” Norton virus protection. I did NOT want to do this! When I contacted Groupon for a refund, I was told that I had to contact the provider (e.g. licensetom.com.) When I contacted licensetom.com via email to request a refund, they, too, refused and told me to override the Norton Virus alert. When I replied via email to them that I had the Norton virus protection to protect my PC and did NOT want to turn it off/override it, I was told that the software that I had downloaded from them was “virus free.” When I again said I did NOT want to override Norton to do that, I was again told that they would NOT give me a refund since they had already provided me with the software license.
