Need help with possible scam So yesterday I noticed a charge on my debit card/bank account that didn't look familiar to me. It was from a website called lilplay.com, and today the same transaction reads that it's from a website called slugmedia.net . Both websites look pretty much identical so I'm not really sure what the deal is with that, but seems weird, but what's weirdest to me is I don't recall ever seeing or hearing of these sites before. Anyway, so I then searched "slugmedia" in my bank account transactions history and see that I've been paying $34.95 every month since January of this year-- the first transaction being one for $2.95 How I didn't notice this before is beyond me, but that's beside the point. Since school was around that time, I bet what it was was from a website I probably used to download a textbook for free(not so free?)... But I know I wouldn't have agreed if it didn't look at least somewhat legit, and I know I wouldn't have agreed to even a small original charge... so the only thing I can think it was was a free trial that required a credit card, that whole deal, etc. But I do know I didn't download from either lilplay or slugmedia... I only used sites from that reddit thread that had links to tons of places to get textbooks for free. Anyway, to close. I feel like I may be boned. But if this is a legitimate scam (haha?) is there anyway I can get my money back? If it's a legitimate business is there a way I can get my money back? (I haven't used their services since that first book download, assuming that's what this all started from and someone besides me didn't use my card). I haven't contacted the website in anyway since learning about the charges made (yesterday) because I thought I'd find out from someone who may know better what my best plan of action is. Haven't mentioned it to family or anything yet either cause I assume they'd think I'm downloading weird porn or something. Please help if you can. The total tally's almost
