I was showing interest in an apartment that had two listings on rent.com and was texting by someone saying they were Adam and to be able to be considered to tour the property I needed to complete an application on a website called locayt.com [BBB Scam Type: Rental] [Business: Locayte] [Location: CA, USA - 91780]
I asked for information about a rental property on Redfin.com. The email I received was from Locayt: "At Locayt we value your time and have a pre-screening process to ensure efficient scheduling. To avoid no-shows and time wastage, we kindly request serious applicants to complete a pre-screen application. Should you advance as a rental candidate, your initial fee will be credited toward the rental credit report fee. www.Locayt.com/apply". The Locayt "website" doesn't give any information about the property, it just requests a $49 fee to apply. [BBB Scam Type: Rental] [Business: Locayt] [Location: CA, USA - 92123]
