Lost Asset Recovery - legit or scam? My grandfather died a few years ago and had investments in various stocks, retirement accounts, etc. A few months ago, my parents got a letter from [Prior & Associates](http://lostassetsrecovery.com/) indicating they had found stock holdings of my grandfather's and would cash it out for us...for a price -- 15% of the principle. The letter looks official, but that's about it. The "firm's" website is very amateurish and it just doesn't sit well with me. I don't know much about asset recovery, but the nature of this being a privately held stock, I'd like to think this is something the family could do. My parents are chomping at the bit to cash in, but I'd hate to see them get fleeced if it's as simple as mailing in a form to a brokerage. Anyone care to chime in with advice or similar experiences?
