Gmail is archiving messages forwarded from my Ubuntu server automatically and I can't figure out why For the last few hours, I've been trying to get mail forwarding from my Ubuntu Server to my Gmail account to work. I got exim4 set up correctly due to a [great guide](http://www.manu-j.com/blog/wordpress-exim4-ubuntu-gmail-smtp/75/). I also used my /root/.forward and ~/.forward files to forward every system email to my gmail address. When I mail my_email@gmail.com everything works great and I get a shiny new email in my inbox. BUT, when I mail root or mail martin gmail archives the emails automatically. I checked, I don't have any filters set up. Well, after I checked, I *did* set up a filter to make emails to my computer be starred, marked important, and never marked as spam. Now they show up in my inbox, but are still marked read. AAAHHHHH. I just can't figure this one out and no amount of searching has led me to an answer. Thank you for any help you can provide.
