The website has an identical look and function to Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) site. I just didn't look at the site address before clicking on the google search for the online store. The true website is www.mec.ca. The scam website is www.meconlineca.com. I found what I was looking to buy. Once I did it would not let me pay by credit card and somehow it requested paypal. As soon as I checked my paypal it didn't list MEC but some random person (scammer) as the payment recipient in the U.S. in U.S. dollars.
