In my search for a certain sporting brand I was directed to a website claiming to be the online store for Mountain Equipment Company. The website (meconlineca.com) had limited stock at 80 % off. Thinking it was too good to be true but also thinking it was end of season old stock, I tried to purchase 9 items. After filling in shipping information including my name, number, email and home address, I was redirected to payment. I tried to pay by credit card but the website stated that it was unable to process payment. I then received an email from my bank stating that it had blocked the payment from the merchant due to suspected fraud. The merchant name was N2P*V tynaturals and the location was Hong Kong.
