Community Reports

Warning: NameStation.com is a subscription trap Just a heads up for anyone looking for domain names: **do not give your credit card to NameStation.** Here is the scam they are currently running: \- They offer a 1-week "Pro" subscription to use the site. \- It automatically renews every 7 days, billing you through Stripe. \- When you realize this and try to cancel, you can't. The "Cancel Subscription" button is intentionally broken. Every time you click it, it just throws a **"failed action error.”** It is a blatant dark pattern. They lock you into a recurring weekly charge and purposefully break the cancellation UI, hoping you will just give up or not notice while they keep bleeding your credit card. **If you are already caught in this:** 1. **Do not wait for their support to fix the "glitch."** They won't. 2. Try deleting your profile entirely. Go to their account settings and use the "Delete Account" or data deletion tool to try and sever the Stripe connection. 3. Call your bank immediately. Tell them the merchant's cancellation system is broken/fraudulent, file a **chargeback** for the unauthorized weekly charges, and have your bank permanently block NameStation's merchant ID. Save yourself the headache and avoid this site entirely.
