I ordered two paint-by-number kits for my kids' Christmas gifts and they were never delivered by the promised date. When I emailed the company asking what the hell was going on, I received a generic email days later that gave me no clear answers whatsoever. A few days later I received an even more generic mass email that convinced me that this company is a scam: First, the email trots out every possible excuse and sob story in the book: "We were overwhelmed, our production machine broke down, blah blah blah." Basically making excuses for why people aren't receiving what they paid for. Second, the email never once offers to refund the money of these people who didn't receive their merchandise. Instead, it told us to just be patient, wait longer, and -- here's where it's truly outrageous -- the email asked us to place ANOTHER order with the company using some bullshit 35% off coupon. This email follows the exact same script as another scam business that I fell prey to back in 2023. Literally almost verbatim -- the same sob stories, the same instructions to be patient, the same refusal to offer any sort of refund to these upset customers, and encouragement to spend even MORE money with the company. Lastly, there's a series of suspicious facts about PaintByCanvas.com as a business: They have no phone number listed, no street address listed, and despite doing business in the USA (I am in Florida), they are located in Canada but never once mentioned this. I have no doubt that this company is a scam, that I will never get any merchandise from them, and that their hundreds of positive online reviews are just AI generated as part of the scam.
