Community Reports

I was helping my mother renew her passport. passport.entry.com asked for her full name, email, phone #, SSN, passport number, personal info for a "security question" and address. Unfortunately, we supplied this information. Upon checkout, however, I noticed in fine print that she would be "charged and additional $130 from the government." Apparently, the $138 charge was for the use of the website and submission to the government for application. We did not give any financial information. I am very concerned that her personal information, especially passport number and SSN have been compromised. Where can we seek help for this? The website is made to look like the US state department website when renewing your passport online. The website is passport.entry.com and it appears like you are pruchasing from the government when in reality this is just a third party website that submits your application to the government. I did receive the renewed passport but was charged twice, once for $138.95 for the passport and another for $149. Beware on what website you are using. It should be travel.state.gov.
