I’m filing a complaint against Playfame.com for deceptive and misleading competition practices that made me believe I had legitimately won a prize, only to later be told I could not claim it because I had supposedly won one of their competitions “too recently.” They directly notified me that I had won and even sent me a prize claim link, which clearly gave the impression that the prize was valid and available to claim. At no point during entry or notification was it made clear that the prize would be invalidated due to some hidden restriction based on prior wins. This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. If someone is ineligible due to prior winnings, they should not be selected as a winner, notified that they won, or sent a claim link. Telling someone they’ve won and then denying the prize afterward is misleading and wastes people’s time while creating false expectations. The entire process feels deceptive and unfair, especially for users who participate in good faith expecting that “winning” actually means winning. It raises serious concerns about how legitimate these competitions really are and whether they are being used primarily to drive engagement rather than award real prizes fairly. I am requesting transparency regarding their competition rules, a clear explanation of why I was declared a winner if I was allegedly ineligible, and accountability for what appears to be misleading business practices. Consumers should not be tricked into believing they have won prizes they are never actually allowed to claim.
