Fake DirecTV employee called my Mom's phone and claimed that she owed money for her account. My cousin answered the phone and then contacted me about it. She gave me the phone number and when I dialed it, my phone didn't show as a DirecTV number like how it would I contacted them in the past. The fake employee has some of my Mom's basic information including her phone and address, but not sure if it's her SSN. However, the company is some kind of 3rd Party insurance company. She was exceptionally rude because I realized that she was a fraud. She didn't even know what the password hint for my Mom's DirecTV account was. I then contacted DirecTV billing and they confirmed that my Mom's account was on autopay and she wasn't due for anything until 2027 for renewal. I talked with a real DirecTV employee, how my phone listed it as well. They asked me for the password for my Mom's account to allow me access to it. The DirecTV employee also said that I was to be contacted by them first and my Mom second. Since I am her Power of Attorney and financial advisor because of health issues and recovery.
