He played along legends like Ricardo Rocha, Renato Gaúcho, Romario, Branco, Bebeto and Carlos Alberto Torres. Due to his physical similarity to Fran Beckenbauer, he was called Kaiser, and that nicknamed was sung by fans from Mexico to France. But how did he build his myth? The boy, aged 23, was a friend of Mauricio, a Botafogo idol. Half joking and half serious, Raposo asked the crack (top player) if he could get him a contract with the first team. Not as masseur or waterboy, but as a player. That, despite the fact that he had barely kicked the ball in beach games. Incredibly, Botafogo hired him. But Reposo had to play, and he didn't know how! He sorted that out easily: "I went to training sessions, and after a few minutes of exercise I would touch my thigh or calf and asked to go see the doctor.
