I was contacted by someone claiming to be from core point research.com which was supposed to be the mystery shopping network for local department stores. They sent me a fake cashier's check from US Bank in the amount of 1970 along with the request for me to buy $1,400 worth of gift cards and send them the pictures of purchased items. Wasn't able to reach my contact over the phone would only contact me through email or text and after making some of my own calls soon it was a scam. Just trying to make sure others don't fall for what I could have fallen for which would have made me responsible for catching that check.
