I listed my van/RV on RVT.com and was contacted by a potential buyer. This buyer required I pull the background report, similar to CARFAX, on my vehicle but using their preferred reporting company. Once I pulled the report which contained very little information, the potential buyer gave excuses to not look at the van. The website does not list a phone number or location for the place of business. They do list an email which I have sent a message to. I don't expect a response. This was not the only person to contact me and use a factitious website to get a report. I realized the scam when the potential buyers did not show for the appointments to look at the van.
