Best practices for domains for important log ins? I’m in the process of switching to Proton, but not ready to dump all my eggs in one basket yet. I was thinking of different accounts for different purposes. One for shopping stuff that doesn’t matter with default proton/SL aliases, one for work with professional custom domain. For important things like banks, govt, insurance… is it better to use a custom domain? I like Proton in that you can have a master email that you never have to tell anyone and use aliases for everything, but unless you have a custom domain it’s gonna be a rando prefix that looks unofficial for banks/gov stuff. I read that custom domains are actually the opposite of privacy because it singles you out, especially if you use your name in the domain. Should I just make a clean proton email like first.last@proton and use that just for important things? Or simple login premium has a custom subdomain you can add before .simplelogin.com but that has a similar issue if someone knows your subdomain, they can trace it back to you. I think I’m overthinking this.
