We got scammed into believing we were adopting a puppy. We were provided the agency website along with the tracking number Skylandglobalfreight.com Tracking # 74702482GRK. We had put the deposit on the puppy down, called the company, and they confirmed they had the puppy and were waiting for confirmation on shipment from the person we were adopting the puppy from. We made the final payment for the adoption, and maybe 30 mins later, we got an email from the delivery company saying we need to buy a proper crate for the puppy. They are now asking for $ 1,900 paid via Apple Pay (money needs to be deposited first, then paid). They stated they could not take credit cards. We were looking to adopt a puppy. The website stated the price was for the puppy and they would deliver it. We put in a deposit and then the scammer sent my husband a tracking number. We went to the website and input the tracking number and it had details for delivery. The delivery company was Skylandglobalfreight.com, Tracking number 74702482GRK. Once we had the tracking, we provided the rest of the funds for the puppy. My husband called the company, we got confirmation for everything and then we sent the remaining. We paid $1000. Once that payment was done, we got an email that the crate for the puppy was not big enough for transport, so they were requesting an additional $1900 to fly the puppy out. That is when we realized it was a scam. The link they provided was for apple pay and the person stated they did not take credit cards. We attempted to get the money back for the puppy but the person stated it was non-refundable. They blocked our number. The LIC provided by the puppy website was for a Michael Phild Vargas E2758271 Address: 10905 Maza St. Norwalk CA 90650 DOB 5/6/1990. He told my husband he just moved to Texas recently.
