Labor law questions, NEED HELP! Hello! I am a maintenance professional living in Michigan, and had a few questions for anyone willing to help, since calling the legal aid people in my area is hard as hell to accomplish... First of all, thank you for any input! :D I have been working with a "staffing" company, that does temporary and permanent hiring for maintenance techs, in regards to apartment maintenance. They turned out to be HIGHLY unprofessional, and have shorted me more then once on my paychecks. I have since cut ties with these people, but want to know if there is any legal actions I can start, to force/scare them into paying me what they still owe me, which they refuse to answer properly over email or telephone, here are the details. I signed a independent contractors form seen [here](http://somethingsmarttoblogabout.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/independent-Contractor-form.pdf), and have been told they cannot pay me until they are paid by the client. The problem is, I was mis-payed twice, once on the eighth of this month (10/8/12) and once the previous week, (10/1/12). I have emails between me and the supervisor, telling me that they would take care of the under-payment, but I feel since I have left the company in bad terms, they will do anything in their power to delay this money they owe me from these time periods. As well, my last day of work was (10/12/12), they are telling me that because I started temping for this new company on the first of the month, (10/2/12) that it will take three weeks to pay me what is owed, from the two weeks that I have worked (being the 22nd, or 10/22/12). I was wondering if there is maybe something I can do as far as the money that was shorted me. I was considering sending a bill stating they were late/short on my payment, with the details of what they owe me, but the Michigan state labor laws website is extremely plain and uninformative. I know that if someone screws with your money in Washington state, where I am
