PCBA Scam (https://source.parts) Hi guys! Our team recently got scammed by a company called Source Parts. They’ll claim they have 30+ years of experience and can help offer a lot of services to bring a pcba to production, but in the backend they are making false promises and using AI models to generate everything to look like real work. When things are not working and they don’t deliver on time, they’ll say “family emergency”, “computer broken” and then keep asking for more money to complete the work they promised. When we did a further background check after the initial shock of seeing everything was just AI generated and didn’t work, we saw the founder has done different scams across different entities, including taking $140k of customer money and never delivering a computer and another same scenario on a different hardware project. Putting this out here in case it helps anyone in our situation. It’s so hard building consumer hardware, I don’t want any founder to have to go through this nightmare.
