Dog Sitter Craigslist Scam (I think) and I replied to the email. Someone help?! So here's the story, I need a job asap because my seasonal retail position is ending this week and found an ad for someone who needed a dog sitter. I responded to them with my name and phone number and asked if they were in the (insert my university here) area. They replied back with detailed information about themselves and barely any grammatical errors. About as much as I would expect from an older person on Craigslist (have you seen those ads!?) but anyway, I replied back again. I sent them my availability, full name, and address to my apartment complex but not my apartment number or room. I was almost happy dancing about my new dog sitting job except I googled the person's name and nothing came up that matched the description she mentioned and then I realized that the email address was one I didn't recognize and I googled it (@stanbick.com) and found another person with that email type but with a different name and similar story and it was on a scam site. So now I'm scared. What should I do? If they only have my phone number and full name and address to my apartment complex (that isn't on a lot of my legal stuff, my mom's address is) can much damage be done? I'm kind of freaking out.
