[UK] Warning: Realistic deepfake financial scam involving Jeremy Vine and Andrew Bailey - www.T4Trade.com So I managed to get scammed but to be fair, this one was really good. I will try to relay the details to the best of my recollection, my memory isn’t the best these days! Hopefully I can prevent someone else from falling for the same or similar scam. It all started because of a legit looking news article on Facebook, claiming that Andrew Vine and Andrew Bailey had been guests on one of the morning tv shows, resulting in Bailey storming off camera and Jeremy Vine getting arrested outside the studio after the show (and subsequently released). The article contained the transcript of what was said on a video of them from said morning show, that was supposedly then blocked on multiple news sites for legal reasons. The story went on to say that on the morning show, Jeremy Vine claimed a certain investment company (I forget the name) would take a £200 deposit, and like “triple your money in a week, £10k in a month” sort of thing. It said anyone could apply online and if you pay a £200 minimum deposit, which he did to try it, you would see your money multiply very quickly due to AI investors who are constantly finding best investments for your money 24/7 etc. The company name was hyperlinked in the article. I read it twice and thought, if that’s true, that’s awesome! So the story continues that Jeremy Vine confronts Bailey about how much money the banks take off of us, that everyone should be doing this investment and why are the Banks keeping this secret? Bailey supposedly gets flustered, yells and marches off set. Vine is then convinced that it must be true if the allegations caused Bailey to be unable to answer and get so upset. Then Jeremy Vine gets arrested but doesn’t get charged because it was the truth which could be proved online.
