I was looking to replace a landscaping transformer. After a Google search, I found an online retailer website (toolpartsreplacement.com) that had the item I wanted. The site appeared legitimate and is still active. I placed the order with no issues. I received an e-mail within minutes from " [email protected] " that my order from "parksccd.shop" was placed and I would receive a tracking number. This was odd because I placed an order with toolpartsreplacement.com. I checked my VISA and noticed that it charged the correct amount from a company in Hong Kong called - "HongKongJin". As the amount was correct I initially just figured that they were using third parties to process payments which is not uncommon in internet commerce. Within 24 hours I received an e-mail from" [email protected] " that my package shipped. There was a link with a tracking number and it appeared legitimate from a company called WorldInExpress and that it was shipping from France.I tracked the shipment over a week and it appeared to arrive in New York and then transit to San Diego. The tracking link was active for several weeks and just indicated it was delayed in clearing customs in San Diego. After several weeks I could no longer reach the WorldInExpress website. I e-mailed the shipper (WorldInExpress) before their website was no longer available and never received a response. I e-mailed the vendor (toolpartsreplacement.com) several times that I placed order with them but never received the product with and they do not respond.
