The Facebook site offered an IQ test, which I took on 12-17-25. It was proposed to be free with no added costs unless you wanted to subscribe to the service. I did not want to subscribe and thought no more of the issue. On 12-27-25 there was a charge for $39.99 from my bank account to tryinnerly.com. I investigated the company only to find out it is a scam. It does not have a valid/working website, email address or phone number. Looking further, I noted that on 12-17-25 there were 2 charges for $.50 each, which I was unaware of. Connected to these charges was the name "******* ****** ********* ** ******** **, Malden, Mass 02148. Phone ************. Also connected was #74. I called the business to get information on PO Box 74 and was told it belonged to an apartment address, not a business. I filed a fraudulent case with my bank, VLFCU, Ohio 44089, today. I took an IQ test on January 1, 2026, and paid $1.00. They never gave me any indication that I was signing up for a monthly charge for a service. Last week, I noticed two transactions of $39.99 on January 4, 2026, and another $39.99 on February 4, 2026. I emailed their support, and they did refund the February 4, 2026, charge, but would not reverse the January charge nor explain what the subscription was. I think this is how they have been able to operate so long. They make it seem like a legit company by refunding within 14 days. It's not about the money, as it is a small amount, and American Express is assisting. It is all over the internet, but I could not find a BBB complaint, so I am reporting it. AI summary-- Based on recent user experiences and reviews, Innerly (tryinnerly.com) is highly suspect and has been widely reported as a subscription scam. While they advertise themselves as a "soft competency" test or IQ test, numerous users report paying a small fee ($1-$2) for results, only to be charged recurring, unauthorized fees ($30-$60) shortly after. Also, note that there is a company called Innerly, and they state on their page that TRYINNERLY is not connected to them.
