[US] Is this travel voucher a scam? Please help! www.vacationofalifetime.info I've been trying to do independent research on a "free 3 day 2 nights" stay voucher we received from listening to a Westgate timeshare sale presentation in Vegas and I can't find anything online that's solid or helpful. I don't want to sign up for anything or give a sketchy business my information, especially credit card info. Here's the breakdown of what the voucher says: The site for making the reservation is "www.vacationofalifetime.info". They have a list of several US-based locations for supposed (hotels?) that we would be able to stay at. The sponsoring company for the voucher is "Executive Tour & Travel Services". Found their website, looks iffy at best -- not reassuring of it being a legit/credible company. Making a reservation to redeem the voucher requires a $50 deposit. This is regardless of the location or dates we choose. Fine print mentions some other minor "fees" that would be involved in travel. Arrival dates have to be Sun-Thurs, no holidays, or there will be additional fees. Canceling or changing the dates after the reservation require a fee, and would have to be sent in writing. $50 deposit will only be returned, by mail, within 60 days of the travel itself or if they for some reason they can't complete your reservation. Definitely a hefty amount of red-flag raising restrictions involved. Has anyone else gone through with using a voucher like this? Is it legit? Even if the offer is "real", is it too much of a pain to deal with all the restrictions and sneaky fees to bother with? TIA! TL;DR: Got a free 3-day/2-night voucher from a Westgate timeshare presentation. Sketchy redemption site, $50 deposit required, tons of restrictions and hidden fees. Anyone actually used one of these? Legit or not worth the hassle?
