On January 26th 2026 my friend and I got a $1 vin report on a car she was buying. We made sure we were not signing up for a subscription or anything. We got the report via email. The report we got was absolutely useless. Had no important information whatsoever. Then on February 2nd 2026 VINHistory.com also known as VINHistoryUSA attempted to take $29.95 from our debit card under the name CB Vin History. We blocked them as thats a red flag. We doubled checked the single report email from them and NOWHERE did it say unsubcribe or cancel from anything. Neither did the link to the bad report we got. We looked up the company online and saw that a lot of people have been filing complaints against them saying they are scammers. We blocked them through our card user, but it says, if it's a subscription, it doesn't always work. So we looked at the website and saw it said "email us to cancel". So we sent an email to [email protected] . We showed screenshots of the report and the single email they sent us showing that we never signed up for a subscription and that they needed to immediately cease and desist, and remove all of our information. We got a bot response to use the cancelation/unsubcribe link in the orginal report email. But as stated, there was not a link for that in the single email we got from them. We NEVER made an account or subscription. They ignored us. We sent a few new emails and also got the same robot response. I am worried because from reading other people's reports to the Bureau and on Reddit a lot of people have experienced this. They've requested multiple times this company remove their information via email and phone and yet they consistently still get subscription bills under slightly different Vin History names.
