I have been searching for a specific vinyl record for almost five years now. I search for it periodically and on January 8th, I found the record I was looking for on vinylreliccom. The website actually looked legit, but I was still skeptical since the record is rare and in demand. I made the purchase hoping for the best, but as soon I was emailed confirmation I could tell something was off. I thought maybe it was just a language barrier since the product was supposedly shipping from China. I did not know this until I received the order confirmation. The return email of was another red flag. It had no mention of vinlyrelic. After following the even more suspicious tracking on the shady website they provided (17tracknet), no product was ever delivered after 3-4 weeks despite the tracking claiming it was delivered. Today, I was hit with a fraudulent $1800 charge on the same credit card used for the vinlyrelic.com purchase. Thankfully, my issuer flagged this suspicious charge and I notified them immediately that this was not me. Ultimately, it was too good to be true, and I made the wrong decision. Please be careful.
