[US] I shouldn't have trusted a porn site (www.VRCosplayX.com, BADOINKVR, 18VR, BABEVR) So against my better judgment, I decided to pay for a lewd site for the first time in my life. VRCosplayX, BADOINKVR, 18VR, BABEVR are owned by one company which are legit enough to have great content. But they are intentionally deceptive and obfuscate information to tack on charges. I signed up for a $9.95 promo price to one site and paid $1.00 to trial a second site. I understood that they'll charge me $34.95 automatically next month for the additional second website because nothing in this world is free. But they do not list anywhere on their website that starting on the second month you will be charged $34.95 for the primary website. It is made to seem that you're getting a promotional deal, and the website specifically states "join for $9.95/month" as if that is the month over month rate. But the email receipt says in small text at the bottom: "Membership renews at your convenience for $39.95 every 30 until cancelled. For your privacy \[redacted\] will appear on your card statement" Before reading my email and noticing this, I downloaded the partner video app on my headset, browse for a few minutes to check out the UI, and went to bed. Later the next day, I check my bank statement and see four charges totaling $165. Obviously I'm pissed off so I initiate a chargeback through my credit card company and search Google to figure out what the hell is going on. Other people checking to see if the website is a scam had luck messaging the company's reddit account so I send them a message. (I included a picture of the chat and transcribed it at the bottom of this post) I initially thought that it was a card processing error, but after reading their response saying that "\[I\] may have clicked something unknowingly", I'm believe that the website is set up so that clicking on a ad automatically initiates a charge without redirecting you to a confirmation screen with an explanation
