I got a job from workintexas.com. They emailed me for an interview, and I did the interview through microsoft teams. I was then told I got the job and they proceeded with me buying equipment to start working. They sent me a check to get the equipment and asked me to zelle only $2,000 out of the $3,000 they sent me. Later the check bounce and $2,000 was taken from my account. [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: Unknown] [Location: Houston, TX, USA - 77015]
I received an email from [email protected] and then [email protected] saying that they saw my resume on WorkInTexas.com and my qualifications aligned with a job for the Junior Project & Administrative Support Specialist (Remote - US) position. I went through a lengthy interview via Microsoft Teams chat. I was then sent an offer letter, contract, W4, I9 and code of ethics via email. After completing yet another lengthy Pre-Training Assessment, I was told I was going to be sent a check via email for equipment purchases. I was directed to deposit via mobile banking. My bank notified me that they were placing the check on a five day hold due to a fraud alert. [BBB Scam Type: Employment] [Business: Neuraxpharm Imposter] [Location: TX, USA - 79756]
