Initially the site looked legitimate, but when I began having trouble navigating on it, I decided to look it up on my home desktop computer. Upon further research, I'm finding that the official "Vinnies" is a charity and nickname for St. Vincent de Paul Society in Australia. The fraudulent site uses the address "204-02 Jamaica Ave" under the Contact Us page of their site. If you search what is located at this address, you will find it is a Safeguard Self Storage facility in Hollis, New York. I'm glad I did my research before purchasing. I did unfortunately create a "new account" which I noticed I was unable to see any of the items for sale until I did this. I should have seen that red flag. There is no where that I can see now to "delete" my account. I have now shared my email address as well as my mobile phone number, so I'm sure I'll be getting quite a bit of spam from this. Thankfully the newest version of iphone blocks the spam calls, but still this is frustrating. Businesses that are fraudulent should be caught and removed from the world wide web.
