ZeusX(https://zeusx.com/) support wants my ID and credit card photos by email — legit KYC or scam? I bought something on ZeusX (a digital goods / game item marketplace). My money was charged but the order never completed, so I contacted their support about it. I got a reply from zeusx support email. They told me the refund for the failed order will happen automatically and reflect on my card in a few business days — that part seems reasonable to me. But the same email then says that "to continue purchasing" I need to complete a KYC verification by emailing them the following: * The account name / email registered with them * A photo of my government-issued ID or passport (they explicitly say student/work IDs are not accepted) * A photo of the actual credit card I used, showing the first 4 and last 4 digits of the card number plus the cardholder name * The expiry date of the card(s) * The first 4 and last 4 digits of the card numbers used in recent purchases The email passed through their Google Workspace domain and the From address looks like their real support address. The refund explanation makes sense on its own, but sending an ID photo, a photo of my physical card, the card number digits and the expiry date all by email doesn't feel like a normal KYC process to me. Is this a legitimate request, or is this a scam / a compromised support account? Has anyone dealt with ZeusX KYC before? What would you do here?
