I received a text from someone claiming to be a debt collector attempting to get personal information and payment. When i asked what the debt is for they said i could not get that information unless i verify who i am. I work in the security field and know better than to provide my information without good cause. My mom has been receiving text messages from an alleged debt collector claiming she has an account balance with AllianceHealth Clinton. I looked it up and this hospital is based in Oklahoma. We live in Illinois. We have not been in Oklahoma. They have only communicated via text message. They provide a website and ID and then ask for personal info to confirm her identity so we have been ignoring this. Company provided no proof of debt, and issued letters to my credit agencies without my knowledge of the alleged debt. I paid the $46 simply to get the collection removed and repair my credit score back to normal. Central Portfolio Collections said they would send me a letter confirmation - they never did. Central Portfolio Collections said they would send letters to my credit agencies - they never did. I have called them for weeks trying to get an answer. And now they have blocked my number so I cannot even reach them. This is a predatory collection agency that is lying to consumers and making false promises. The only reason I made that payment was based on their promises of what they would do. CPC is harassing consumers with fake debts and false promises of debt relief Elizabeth is the agent I spoke with. She hung up on my twice when I asked for the letters. Before she hung up, she said she sent the letter to my residence on 12/30/25. That was BEFORE I made any payment. That is clearly a lie. How can they send a letter BEFORE I even made payment? I asked Elizabeth, “have you sent a letter to credit agencies as you promised?”. She refused to answer. She then said that she has nothing to do with that person who took your payment and that I need to find that person myself and speak with him.
