I received a letter from "Conduent" claiming that my address and SS# were among files to be affected by a security breach. After the letter that ended with customer service number of 877-332-1658 and this address: 100 Campus Drive, Suite 200, flrham Park, NJ 07932, the next page offered enrollment in "Complementary Identity Monitoring Services", instructing me to go to www.privacysolutionsid.com and entering my information using an activation code they provided. It included a number for a customer care team: 866 675 8228 It then went on to recommended I get a free credit report and other seemingly safe activities. When I went to the website it asked for sensitive information but didn't appear to be a secure site. I obtained the telephone number for Conduent and called that number. This was sent by mail. I did not fall into the scam. This is what it said: December 31, 2025 Conduent Secure Processing Center is writing to inform you about a recent incident experienced by Conduent that may have involved some of your personal information, which came into our possession due to the services that we provide to your current or former health plan. … We discovered that we were the victim of a cyber incident that impacted a limited portion of our network. … Our investigation determined that an unauthorized third party had access to our environment from … to … and obtained some files associated with your current or former health plan. … We are providing you with this notice upon the recent conclusion of this time-intensive data analysis as your personal information was contained in the affected files. Received a letter from CBS LLC saying my information from my health insurance was breached from 10/24 - 1/25. Gave me a website to input my social security number into to receive a free 12 months of identity monitoring. Had a bad feeling and didn't do it - thank goodness. Scammer indicates they are a third-party data data processing company who suffered a cyber incident from 10/21/24-1/13/25 and they offer free credit monitoring through Epiq's "Privacy Solutions ID" software. The letter received provides a website and steps to setup including a 20-digit alphanumeric access code. I originally thought it was legit as the letter looked official enough but I was put off when the site asked for my SSN.
